Common name
Aspidistra, cast iron plant, in the US called Bar-room plant as it can withstand smoky bars (any indoor polluted air) and was seen as a status symbol for a middle class household in late Victorian Britain. 
 
Growing Conditions
A perfect plant which can grow where others struggle. If you want to feed it, only give it a very weak solution every month/2 months during growing season.
