Common name
Prayer plant
Growing conditions
Originates from the jungles of Bolivia, this type of prayer plant is so stunning with its round, silver striped leaves and is pet friendly! If the leaf edges are going brown then it isn’t humid enough, if the leaves are pale and wilting this could be from over-watering and curling leaves could suggest not enough water. As with most plants, don’t let the plant sit in water but water well and allow to drain before putting it back in its decorative pot.
Watering
Mist regularly to give it high humidity. A pebble pot is useful to help with this. Water well during growing season and much less in winter, allowing the top part of the soil to dry out between waterings.
Aspect
Bright but indirect light
Temperature
18 – 30 degrees C, don’t let it go below 15 degrees C
