The leaves of this plant smell incredible – push your face in to the plant and take a big sniff! This tropical plant comes from India, Nepal and South Asia and grows every year from large rhizomes. It is related to ginger and gives a beautiful leafy backdrop to showier flowering plants.
When the top of the soil is dry, give it a water – don’t let the soil dry out but remember not to let it sit in water as it will rot. Mist regularly.
Don’t let it sit in a draught and ideally keep between 18 degrees and 30 degrees
